So how long will trash like you continue to support something so fucked like gamer gate? How long will you repeat the phrases "not all gamers" or "stop generalizing gamers" while ignoring the big problems in the gaming community? How long will you accuse anonymous criticisms as being "cowardly" when really it's to avoid being harassed and doxxed by cyber thugs? I really hope the unfortunate passing of Rachel Byrk wakes you fuckers up. If not then you have no right to call yourselves gamers.
Rachel Byrk killed herself over her constant, daily, unbearable pain caused by fibromyalgia. Her friend explained this was the reason, as they spoke prior to Rachel killing herself, even to the point where Rachel said ‘goodbye’ and the friend in question freaked out because it was obvious what was going to happen.
She even said that it is insulting to Rachel to assume she wasn’t strong enough to handle a single moronic troll and that she was so fragile that that was going to push her over the edge.
She went on to ask people not to propagandize and politicize her death out of respect for Rachel. Guess what you just did?
I will continue to support GamerGate but if GamerGate was about keeping women out of gaming or harassing women, I’d have dropped it by now.
I will continue to call you a coward. Not because you are anon but because you’re anon while simultaneously ignoring the numerous GamerGate supporters, many of which are women, who were doxxed by the people trying to stop GamerGate.
GamerGate ain’t going anywhere. And no matter how much you want it to be, it isn’t about harassing women. Its about reform. And the fact that I’ve been accepted, open armed, by GamerGate (as numerous others have been) should prove it isn’t about chasing any one demographic out of gaming.
Naw. Its about kicking the liars, cheats and con artists out of gaming. And considering how its ANTI-GamerGate chasing women out of the scene, I don’t think you get to mouth off.
And this is why you should only use archive.is for archival of websites.
I just now responded to an anonymous ask and cited this post of mine (archived here), to show reference to a seized computer that Sarah had discussed in 2005. I also, in that post, linked to a webcitation.org link (this one), which was copied and pasted from this pastebin file containing web citation.org links to logs hosted directly on ffshrine.org’s servers (archived here). I wasn’t aware that webcitation.org could be easily tampered with, so I didn’t think to archive the link(s) in question from the pastebin file. I double checked my post just to make sure the reference to the seized computer and the log I linked were the same (I look over my posts several times to ensure no broken links) and lo and behold, this message appears:
“This URL has been archived internally and can be made available for scholars on request, but we cannot make it accessible on the web, because the copyright holder has asked us not to display the material. If you have concerns about this individual not being the copyright holder, or if you require access to the material in our dark archive for scholarly or legal purposes, please contact us.”
(emphasis mine). This conclusively proves that the logs are real and belong to Sarah, because she has claimed them as her copyrighted content and is doing so to help hide it from the public.
Needless to say all this covering up only hurts Sarah’s case, because it proves that the logs belong to her and that she has something to hide. If she thinks that people haven’t been downloading and backing up every shred of evidence, she’s out of her mind. I have every one of these tumblr posts archived and all the html for each post saved to several places to put right back up somewhere else if this tumblr gets taken down (and for the record, if this tumblr gets removed, it’s further proof of a coverup as I have no reason whatsoever to remove this blog, and this blog violates none of tumblr’s community standards as no personal information is given whatsoever, only public chat logs and screenshots/archive links to forums).
Sarah, you can run, but you can’t hide. These childish attempts to silence only makes those who have the evidence angrier and louder and only serves to make you look like a coward. We have all the evidence, and a site like encyclopedia dramatica is certainly never going to remove these files from their servers, so good luck trying to delete them!
Download logs here, here, here, and here from a source that isn’t going to delete them or have them removed for “copyright”.

The syringe was likely sent to Milo by anti gamer gate people. Why exactly is still known. Theories that they’re trying to plant incriminating evidence on him or that it’s just a scare tactic seems to be the most popular.
But your post is still shit. People are upset for a lot of reasons that aren’t just “petty horseshit”. Journalism in the video game industry, a multi billion dollar industry, is corrupt as all Hell. Journos and game devs are making backhand deals with each other and it’s gotten to the point where there’s examples of them being literally in bed with one another.
When called out on this, they tried a mass censorship tactic. As of now, websites like Reddit and 4Chan are trying their hardest to surpress conversations about GamerGate and websites like The Escapist which has a forum dedicated to the subject have been DDOSed.
But hey, I guess that’s all just petty bullshit. After all, mass censorship online and major corruption are nothin, right?

That’s mm152.922 dollars, for those 12 video’s that were supposed to be done and delivered by December 2012. She hasn’t said one word on where all that money went.

If you claim to have received threats to gain attention for your video’s and to raise money (because we all know she doesn’t have enough money!), and those threats turn out to be fabricated, that’s a felony. It’s called ‘fundraising through public deceit’. That’s was that article was about.

thats p much the same principle at work here @bogleech (people change or removed perceived controversial things because its just not worth potentially losing your livelihood over. or in the case of producers and large-ish companies, its not worth potentially losing out on big buxxx.)
